Where we Ate/Drank

  1. L'Imaige de Nostre-Dame. €10 for three biers, and the bar was complete with a kitty named Mickey. Off Rue du Marche aux Poulets.
  2. A La Becasse. €10 for la palette, four tasters of Lambic Doux, Lambic Blanc, Kriek, and Bourgogne
  3. Garden City. A pub near Bier Circus, a bar on the bier tour in Frommer's "Brussels and Bruges Day by Day." Bier Circus is closed from early afternoon until 6pm, so we had biers and frites at Garden City to pass the time. €9 for bier, wine, and frites.
  4. T'Kelderke. On the Grand Place. €50 for two dinners, a large bottle of water, and biers.
  5. Toone. Tried to go here, but it was closed for the month of January.
  6. Delirium. Awesome bar with over 2,000 biers to choose from. Large barrels made up the tables, and bier trays covered the walls and ceilings. Great music and ambiance, with a young crowd. Just off Rue des Bouchers.
  7. Gecko Bar. St. Gery, near Zebra and Le Roi de Belges.
  8. Aroma Cafe. Waffle with butter and sugar and a water bottle. €6. Grand Place.
  9. Lotus Vert. Just off Rue des Bouchers. Excellent won ton soup and chicken fried rice. €15.
  10. Bonsoir Clara. €50 for wine, bier, two bottles of water, salad, mushroom risotto, and dessert.
Things we Did

  1. The bier tour in Frommer's "Brussels and Bruges Day by Day." Excellent guide book if you're visiting these two cities. Compact with a foldout map of both cities, and the metro map of Brussels.
  2. Walked around the Grand Place.
  3. Rode the metro to "Beer Mania," a shop with over 200 kinds of Belgian bier for purchase and the glasses to match.
  4. Atomium. It was closed though while we were there.
  5. Visited St. Catherine's Church.
  6. Walked around St. Gery and inside Les Halles.
  7. Peered into Les Ateliers des Chefs. My class was canceled because I was the only one enrolled, so I wasn't able to take my cooking class while in Brussels.
  8. Found the Zinniken Pis, a statue of a peeing dog that compliments the Mannikin Pis outside our hotel.
  9. Shopped at Galerie de la Reine for lace at Manufacturer Belges des Dentelles.
