What's This Blog About?
Travel is expensive—planes, trains, and automobiles seem to run on the combustion of currency these days. It doesn’t stop me from de-robing in security lines, but I realize not everyone is that fortunate (or patient).
I think the flavors and experiences of the world should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay or make the trip. So, if you’re looking for travel inspiration, a place to lay your head, or a new restaurant to try, check the archives of my blog.
The mission of Around the World in 80 Meals is to bring restaurant reviews, corresponding travel narratives and tips, and a periodic recipe from around the globe to the minds of anyone who wants to read it.

Biography
A 2002 graduate of UC Santa Barbara with a degree in English and Art History, Kyle's studies also include time at Cambridge University. Short of picking up phrases like "cheers" and an affinity for "a good curry," the experience was more social than academic. But she loves academia, which is why she decided to ditch her full-time copywriting gig for a job as a private college counselor.
Kyle was one of 25 women featured on ABC’s hit TV show, The Bachelor Paris, in fall 2005, and also made an appearance as a hair model on Bravo's show, Shear Genius in 2007. While you might catch Kyle on a reality re-run, you're more likely to find her at Angel Stadium watching baseball with a beer and a hotdog in-hand. She is, after all, a season ticket holder.
Chew on that- while you are, Kyle will be circling the globe and developing more recipes for Around the World in 80 Meals. She hopes to one day turn this blog into her cookbook, and the cookbook into a show on The Food Network.
